Unitas Memorial Park is a 120ha state of the art cemetery situated between Vereeniging and Vanderbijlpark on Houtkop Road where 60 000 graves are approved in an eco- environment.
This Memorial Park is unique as it will accommodate churches and organizations in the Vaal Triangle to have their own private cemeteries within the grater Memorial park The park will have 24/7 Armed-Security with patrol dogs .State of the art access control at main entrance. A perimeter wall and electric fence with alarms, electronic beams are throughout the park.
There will be a main reception, offices, funeral Directors offices and showrooms, a gift shop, café and tea garden. A play area for children. A mortuary, crematorium and a chapel with 2 reception halls. There will also be several ablution and drinking water points in the park. There will be several theme parks: a children’s cemetery, a woman’s cemetery, a veteran cemetery, a pet cemetery, lawn graves, forest and rock theme parks.
There are only a few grave sites available in the existing cemeteries in the Vaal and filling up very fast. Any new cemetery opened by the authorities will be far from the city centre.
